NEWS: Clan in market for new defenceman, after Boutin blow
The Glasgow Clan, sponsored by Aspray Glasgow West, will head into Thursday’s EIHL home game vs Sheffield minus Shawn Boutin.
The Canadian defenceman has received confirmation that he broke his collar bone in last Saturday’s Challenge Cup home game vs the Dundee Stars.
After an appointment with a consultant and review of the x-ray today, the club have been advised that the 32-year-old will be out of action for the next 10 to 12 weeks.
Clan head coach Malcolm Cameron has already started speaking to agents and his contacts about potential replacements while Boutin is out of the line-up.
British defenceman Liam Stenton returns to the line-up on Thursday after returning from a family holiday, which head coach Malcolm Cameron was aware of prior to Stenton signing for the 2022/23 season.
