NEWS: Clan have signed a “great player” – Starrett

Former Glasgow Clan netminder Shane Starrett believes his former team have picked up a great signing in forward Ryan Harrison, who signed earlier this week.

Harrison joins from ECHL side Kansas City Mavericks with whom he played alongside Starrett last season, with both men rooming together.

And Starrett, who played for the club in the 2021-22 season, says he couldn’t be happier for his friend to be making the move to Scotland.

“Ryan was my flatmate in Kansas City,” he said. “Not only is he a great player on the ice, but he’s the sort of guy who will go out of his way to help his team-mates off the ice.

“He’s a great all-round player who’s not afraid to back down from any physical play and will do whatever’s asked of him on the ice.

“Ryan can also come up with some big goals too when the team needs it.  The Clan are getting a great player and I’m delighted for him to be going there.

“I want to congratulate Ryan on signing for the Clan, as well as the fans as they’re getting a really good guy.

“I’ve told him all about what to expect when he gets to Glasgow from the fans to the city and he’s really excited to get to Scotland.”
