NEWS: Clan thank Aspray Glasgow West
The Glasgow Clan would like to express our sincere gratitude to Aspray Glasgow West for their dedicated sponsorship over the past five years. Beginning in the 2018/19 season, their involvement with the club quickly grew, becoming our Title Sponsor for four seasons including a year of support during the challenging COVID-19 pandemic.
Aspray Glasgow West Managing Director John Strange commented: “After the past four years of being the main sponsor at Clan, it’s time to let someone else take centre stage. This partnership has been very successful on a commercial level for us at Aspray Glasgow West, but it’s the personal connection with the fans and staff, headed up by Gareth and Gerry, which is the main reason we’re still excited to continue to sponsor the club.”
Clan Commercial Director, Gerry McLaughlin was keen to put his thanks on record: “The partnership between Clan and Aspray Glasgow West has been vital to our growth. Looking back, it’s actually quite funny to remember persuading John to take on the official player sponsorship of Rasmus Bjerrum.
“That agreement not only led to title sponsorship but also set the foundations for John’s ownership of the Solway Sharks. I’d like to thank John, his staff and his family for their financial and emotional investment over these past few years and indeed many more in the future”
The club will be announcing an exciting new principal sponsor very soon.
