NEWS: Clan annual Foodbank Donation appeal – Friday 6th December

December 2, 2024

During THIS FRIDAY’s (6th December) home game vs the Manchester Storm (7:30pm face-off), we’ll be hosting our annual Foodbank Donation appeal, in support of Renfrewshire Foodbank and the East Renfrewshire Larder.

We encourage the Purple Army to bring along non-perishable food items, toiletries, pet food, nappies, and cleaning products to help families in need during this festive season. A collection point will be set up at the Ice Centre doors next to Costa Coffee , making it easy for everyone to contribute.

About Renfrewshire Foodbank

Renfrewshire Foodbank offers crucial support to individuals and families in crisis by providing three-day balanced, nutritious food parcels. Their short-term assistance is bolstered by a network of referral partners who help recipients regain stability and independence. The organisation also addresses fuel poverty and works to maximise income through a Financial Inclusion team.

To learn more about their work, visit the Renfrewshire Foodbank Facebook page.

About East Renfrewshire Larder

The East Renfrewshire Larder works tirelessly to support struggling families, particularly during the holiday season when the absence of school meals places extra strain on household budgets. In addition to food packs, they provide toiletries, pet food, nappies, and more. Despite spending over £300 weekly on fresh groceries, the Larder faces growing challenges due to a shortage of funds.

Find out more about their efforts on the East Renfrewshire Larder Facebook page.

Make a Monetary Donation

For those who prefer to support financially, QR codes will be available throughout the Arena and displayed on the big screen during the game, allowing fans to make instant monetary donations.

Your generosity can make a real difference to families in Renfrewshire and East Renfrewshire this Christmas. Let’s come together as the Clan Family to give back to our community and ensure no one is left behind during the holidays.

See you on the 6th of December! Together, we can help make the festive season brighter for those in need.
