NEWS: Christine takes up role as office administrator

The Glasgow Clan, sponsored by Aspray Glasgow West, are delighted to welcome Christine Loney as the new club & venue administrator.

Christine is a well known face among the Purple Army for her work with the OSC in recent years and will take on the office based role going forward.

She spoke of what her role will entail, but is pleased to become part of the club she’s supported since day one.

“It’s an exciting time to join the organisation and I’m over the moon to be part of the team,” she said.

“As everyone knows, I’ve watched and supported the team since the first season and I’ve been lucky enough to be part of the OSC committee since 2014.

“I was part of the OSC events team and latterly held the role of treasurer so I’m looking forward to working with the staff, the coach and the team.

“I’ll be responsible for all Clan & Arena administration as well as supporting Gareth and the other directors in the organisation.”

Christine’s appointment was welcomed by Clan’s Chief Operating Officer Gareth Chalmers and he not only spoke very highly of their relationship thus far through the OSC, but how she will fit into her new role.

“I’m delighted to welcome Christine to the team and we’ve always enjoyed a great working relationship through the OSC and I’m looking forward to continuing that, “ he said.

“Her role with the Clan and Arena is an important one and her application, not to mention her background, stood out to us.

“I’m pleased to bring Christine on board and have no doubt in my mind she’ll fit right in as we look ahead to a new and exciting future.”
