Glasgow’s Braehead Clan defenceman Scott Aarssen says he wants to see more of complete performances like the one on Wednesday against Manchester Storm.

Following the midweek 4-1 win, Clan turn their attentions to the visit of Edinburgh Capitals, who are looking to battle their way into the play-offs.

Aarssen also remarked on the increasing volume of the home fans as performances have improved in recent weeks.

“From the games we’ve played against Edinburgh this season, they’ve taken points off us so we have to go out ready to go,” the Clan defenceman said.

“It’s a huge game for us in the Conference and we want to get some form going, especially playing our games at home this month.

“I think it’s important for us to keep rolling and have more complete games like the one we had on Wednesday.

“They’re a very offensive minded team that can score at any moment and you have to respect that, but you have to play smart in your own end and the rest will take care of itself.

“The fans have definitely been louder in the last few weeks and we can tell when the chants can get going.

“We’ve been playing better at home recently and we feed off the energy the crowd brings so we notice it for sure. It’s great to hear when you’re out there and it really gives us a push.”

Aarssen also discussed new team-mate Stefan Della Rovere and his impressions of him since he arrived earlier in the week.

He added: “Stefan’s fit right into the room straight away and a great ice, but on the ice, he does his bit defensively and I think he’s a player that works really hard and doesn’t quit.

“I think that’s great to see. Obviously he’s a great pick up for us and I look forward to having him on the team going down the stretch.

“He’s off the mark too, which is a big thing for him. It’s nice to get to get the first one out of the way early.”

See the Clan in action twice THIS WEEKEND. The Edinburgh Capitals visit Braehead Arena THIS SATURDAY (7:00PM face-off) and the Coventry Blaze THIS SUNDAY (6:00pm face-off).
