The Glasgow Clan battled back from a two-goal deficit to claim a point on the road, eventually falling 5–4 in overtime to the Nottingham Panthers at the Motorpoint Arena.

The Clan made the perfect start to the game, striking just four minutes in. Rylan Schwartz opened the scoring after capitalising on early pressure to give the visitors a 1–0 lead.

However, the Panthers responded quickly while shorthanded. With Mitch Fossier serving a penalty, Didrik Henbrant broke away to tie the game just two minutes later with a short-handed finish.

The home side then edged ahead late in the period when Fossier made amends for his earlier penalty, finding the net at 17 minutes to give Nottingham a 2–1 lead heading into the break.

Despite the deficit, Clan netminder Sami Aittokallio produced a number of outstanding saves in the opening frame to keep the visitors within touching distance, while Glasgow themselves passed up several Grade A chances.

The Panthers extended their advantage during the second period with two more goals. Bryan Lemos struck first before Matthew Marcinew added another on the powerplay to push Nottingham into a 4–1 lead.

The Clan responded before the period was out. Tristin Langan capitalised on a powerplay opportunity to pull one back and reduce the deficit to two, sending Glasgow into the third period trailing 4–2.

The visitors came out with renewed intensity in the final frame and were rewarded for their pressure. Brett Neumann pulled the Clan within one before Schwartz grabbed his second goal of the night to level the game at 4–4 and force overtime.

Unfortunately for the Clan, a late penalty to Langan meant they began overtime at a 4-on-3 disadvantage. Although the sides soon returned to four skaters apiece, Henbrant struck again moments later to secure the win for Nottingham with his second goal of the night.

Despite the overtime loss, the Clan picked up another valuable point on the road, finishing the weekend with two points from a possible four.
