The Premier Sports sponsored Glasgow Clan secured their second win in two days with a determined road performance to oust the Manchester Storm on their own ice.

Rylan Schwartz opened the scoring after nine minutes with a neat top shelf finish from the right wing before Brady Risk made a drive up main street and slammed a shot into the roof of the net to put Glasgow ahead by two early in the game.

Bradley Jenion got the Storm back to within one just 30 seconds after Risk’s goal as he slid in at the backdoor to guide a Brandon Cutler pass over the line.

In the second period, Schwartz lay a standard check at the boards which drew a reaction from Stephen Johnson who dropped the gloves and swung on the Clan’s #71 before being separated by linesmen.

Glasgow went on a two-minute powerplay as a result which allowed Brett Neumann time and space to stroll on to a loose rebound just in front of Drew Derrider and drag it through the crease and into the net.

Liam Souliere made a great double save before the second break as Joseph Nardi broke in on goal and poked a low shot on target which Souliere had to drop to meet before the rebound was sent back at him and he stretched to direct it wide with his right pad.

Harrison Caines then dumped Colton Poolman into the boards in the corner with a hit straight into his numbers. Jason Fram came to defend his defensive partner and jumped at Caines, drawing a second fight in the game and seeing Caines assessed five minutes for boarding.

Clavelle later bombed a shot which was headed wide but directed in by none other than Caines’ stick as he gave the hosts a lifeline at one-goal down with eight minutes still to play.

Despite pulling Derrider to apply pressure in numbers on the Glasgow defence, Manchester couldn’t produce a third and were pegged back by a Cade Neilson empty net goal to complete a 4-2 win and a four-point weekend for the Clan.
