Guildford Flames vs Glasgow Clan

The Premier Sports sponsored Glasgow Clan were left feeling hard done by after leading twice in a tight contest at the Guildford Flames but leaving empty handed thanks to a hattrick from Jack Jacome.

Rylan Schwartz got the visitors off to a quickfire start as he burst through the slot after a great feed from Joe Hazeldine and fired a low shot on net which Justin Fazio kicked back to his tape for the #71 to dispatch his own rebound and put Glasgow ahead.

Jason Fram almost made it two moments later when he grabbed a loose puck at the edge of the crease after sneaking past a Flames defenceman but his shot couldn’t find the gap as Fazio guided it wide with his blocker.

Jack Jacome put Guildford back on level terms in the 11th minute of the game as he threw a pass into the slot from the left wing intended for Tyler Preziuso which was unintentionally sent into the Clan net by the swinging stick of Rob Lachowicz.

In the second period, Fazio skated behind his own net to collect a puck before retreating to his crease without looking and collided with Hugo Roy which prompted Ben Solder to drop the gloves with the #19 as the competitive edge to the game boiled over.

Mick Messner put Glasgow back in front as he found a just reward for some well-sustained offensive pressure in a gorgeous snipe from the slot cannoned into the roof of the net.

Tristin Langan was then called for a debatable hooking penalty on Solder and Jacome struck his second of the night on the resulting powerplay via a scrambly finish in the crease.

Jacome would seal his hattrick in the final three minutes of the game with another powerplay goal after Fram downed Tyler Busch below the goal line and Brayden Burke sat 10 minutes for misconduct.

The Flames saw out the closing minutes of six-on-five hockey with Sami Aittokallio pulled to the Clan bench as Guildford completed a clean sweep with their sixth in of the season over Glasgow.
