The Premier Sports sponsored Glasgow Clan put six past the Fife Flyers on home ice as new head coach Jack Skille picked up his third win from just three games in charge of the Braehead outfit.
The Flyers had already secured their progression to the elimination game of the Challenge Cup while the Clan were already out of the competition, though the game still caried importance for both sets of fans in the way of bragging rights.
Julies Reini bagged the opening goal as Tristin Langan laid off a nice slow pass up to the blue line for the Finn to arrive onto and ferociously slap from distance into the top shelf.

Fife answered back on the powerplay through Michael Drabek with a short-side snipe tucked high into the corner over Liam Souliere as the Flyers’ special teams continued their hot form.
Cameron Hough was denied on a wraparound attempt in the second period by a great pad save from Souliere on the line which had to be confirmed by video review as a no goal.
Cole Kodsi then put Glasgow back in front with a glorious solo goal as he danced through the slot and slid a neat finish through the five-hole of Blake Pietila.

Drabek found himself in the middle of the resulting celebrations and got tangled up with Jake Johnson in a short tussle before they both sat in the box for roughing.
Hough broke out all alone after a nice stretch pass allowed him to skate into the Clan zone unmanned, but another impressive stop from Souliere denied him this time a quick blocker save.
Brady Risk played the puck out from behind the Fife net to Chris Dodero who forced a scramble in the crease with Pietila, causing him to lose balance and allowing Keaton Pehrson to mosey onto the loose puck and send it high over the sprawling netminder.

Mick Messner was then penalised for cross checking on Garet Hunt as tensions on the ice seemed to reach fever pitch with big checks and tangles after whistles becoming more common.
The resulting powerplay allowed too much space for Joey Pierce who blasted a shot from the blue line straight past Souliere to halve the deficit.
Zachary Power put the visitors level 65 seconds into the third period with a smart rebound on the doorstep before Langan knocked home a shot from the backdoor just 34 seconds later to reinstate the Clan’s advantage.

Lewis Young had a wide open look at net from the right side after a great switch pass from Hunt but he couldn’t keep his first-time shot low enough as it sailed high over the bar.
Dodero then got his first goal in Clan colours with a tip on a Langan shot from deep on the powerplay to double Glasgow’s lead before Pehrson got his second of the night with a quick release from the top of the right circle.
The 6-3 score line remained until the Braehead crowd roared through the final 10 seconds to the final buzzer to celebrate another big win with their rejuvenated side.
