The Premier Sports sponsored Glasgow Clan picked up two important points with an emphatic win over the Dundee Stars in a 9-goal cracker on home ice.
The game got off to a quick start with Emil Kruse keeping a Tristin Langan blast at bay with his paddle before Sami Aittokallio had to put his blocker on a Zachary Taylor slap shot to keep it out.
Brady Risk got the game clock working with a first time snap after a drop pass from behind the Stars’ net by Cade Neilson allowed him to rifle a wrist shot neatly into the top corner.

Otto Nieminen equalised for Dundee as he battled his way through the slot and spat a shot out through a melee of sticks which shot straight through the five hole of Aittokallio.
Rob Lachowicz reinstated Glasgow’s advantage as he rebounded Darien Kielb’s shot on the spin and curled it into the net past a sprawling Kruse.
Mick Messner got his fourth goal in two games with a snipe on the first powerplay chance of the game as the Clan’s newest signing continues to shine.

With just 33 seconds left in the period, a misjudged lobbed clearance from a Stars’ defenceman fell straight to Rylan Schwartz who plucked it out the air and fed a pass to Brett Neumann who dispatched the hosts’ fourth of the game.
Kruse left the game after 20 minutes with Lefebvre opting to swap out the Stars’ most regular starter this season for the young, Jarret Fiske who played the full 60 in Dundee’s most recent win over Glasgow back in September.
Glasgow pushed their lead to four in the middle period on the powerplay with Neumann claiming his second of the night via a sweeping rebound shot after Fiske made a great kick save on the initial effort from Langan.

Hugo Roy made it 6-1 less than two minutes later as he broke out on a 2-on-1 with Lachowicz and attempted to play a pass through the crease to him but a sliding block from Zach Taylor redirected the puck into the net.
Keanu Yamamoto managed to etch a second Stars goal on the boards, his third of the weekend, with a quick snap at a loose puck after a goal line clearance from Chris McKay left the Clan defence scrambled.
In the third period, Brady Risk popped up again to claim his second of the game with a third powerplay goal for Glasgow in as many attempts as he unfurled a shot into the top corner from the slot.
Glasgow saw out the game with a 7-2 win, extending their tally of victories over Scottish rivals this season to 16 after just 18 games, as well as claiming two valuable points in their midfield battle in the standings.
