Glasgow Clan completed another four-point weekend to move into seventh place as they finally got the better of Dundee Stars in a 4-3 thriller.

It was the end of another great couple of day’s work, following on from Friday’s 4-1 success over Manchester Storm, but like 24 hours before, Clan had to go behind before they found the net themselves.

The Stars took an early lead through club captain, Drydn Dow when his shot deflected off Chris Martenet’s skate and slipped past Clan goalie Landon Bow.

Cole Ully responded for the Clan deep in the opening period as he snapped a shot from between the face-off dots, fizzing into the bottom of the Dundee net.

The visitors came close to quickly retaking the lead as they struck the frame of the goal twice within 30 seconds of Ully’s opener.

But Clan’s number 91 then forced the hosts in front before the end of the period when he tipped Reece Kelly’s long range shot high over Richard Sabol in the Dundee goal.

In the second period, the Stars organised a forceful comeback to flip the scoreline in their favour which started with Brett Gravelle’s rebound goal to level the scoring.

Brendan Harms then gave the visitors the lead when he bagged a powerplay goal with a slick finish in close.

Bow was instrumental in the Clan’s clawback from behind with an impressive collection of crucial saves throughout the second and third stanza.

Some long-sustained pressure in the Stars’ zone in the third period was rewarded for the Clan when Felix Pare notched his name on the boards with an equalising goal, getting a tip from a Deven Sideroff shot.

Then Tyson McLellan then grabbed the game-winner with a backdoor first time effort after being set up perfectly by Ully, sealing maximum points and a fourth consecutive home win.
