Glasgow Clan

Dundee Stars

GAME RECAP

Five different scorers helped to make it three wins in a row for Glasgow Clan as they took a 5-2 home win over Dundee Stars.

With Challenge Cup points up for grabs, it was a full blooded first period between the two Scottish teams as they looked to get an early advantage.

Jake Elmer had a clear route to goal after six minutes when the Dundee forward was clean through on Clan goalie Landon Bow, who dealt with it well.

It was the home side who got the opening goal when Steven Seigo found Liam Finlay down the left, at the red line and with his angle to the net a little slim.

He sent the puck towards the crease, where Mitchell Heard appeared to get the final touch to divert it past Stars netminder Richard Sabol.

Brendan Harms saw a chance from a loose pass thwarted by the ever-alert Bow, before Cole Ully struck the bar with a chance down the other end.

Clan stepped things up in the second period as they really made their mark in this game, adding further goals to reward their offensive play.

Felix Paré picked up his first goal for the club with a rebound finish after Finlay made Sabol work with his initial shot, as Clan’s #28 executed the finish.

Then Rylan Schwartz sent a terrific shot from the centre into the net to pick up his second goal in two games to put Glasgow three up.

Keaton Jameson added a fourth with a skilful finish, lifting the puck into the roof of the net to the delight of the home fans.

A fight between Clan’s Nick Prkusic and Dundee’s Xavier Pouliot saw the latter ejected from the game on an aggressor penalty.

Stars finally managed to find a way to goal as Kameron Kielly pulled one back unassisted, before Jake Elmer picked up their second shortly after.

But an empty net finish from Tyson McLellan rounded things off as the Clan players skated off to enjoy their victory.
