The Premier Sports Glasgow Clan completed a four-point weekend at home with a 4-1 victory over a laboured Coventry Blaze.

The Clan got off to a quick start with Jason Fram opening the scoring after just three minutes as he knocked a first time shot past Dershahn Stewart at the backdoor.

Joe Hazeldine then battled through the zones and threw a pass into the slot which Ivan Chukarov deflected into the path of Tristin Langan who slammed it high into the Blaze net to double Glasgow’s lead.

Later in the period, Austin Mitchell-King got his first point in Clan colours as he grabbed a third goal through a redirect of Steven Seigo’s shot through the pads of Stewart.

Rylan Schwartz made it four before the end of the opening period after Brett Neumann slid the puck his way in front of the crease and the #71 batted a shot on net which rebounded back onto his tape for him to dispatch at the second time of asking.

The Clan took a four-goal lead into the second period after a first 20 minutes which the Blaze head coach, Kevin Moore, described as “unacceptable.”

Artem Buzoverya got the Blaze off the mark in the middle frame with a tip on Archie Hazeldine’s long-range shot just two minutes after the restart.

The Blaze built momentum from the early goal but couldn’t find another route past Sami Aittokallio as he continued his hot form from Friday’s player of the game performance.

Stewart and Aittokallio saw out the remainder of the game without giving up a goal as the first period’s four from the Clan was enough to secure a four-point weekend at Braehead.
