The Premier Sports sponsored Glasgow Clan take three points from two tough fixtures as they rounded off their weekend with a 5-2 victory on the road over Scottish rivals, the Fife Flyers.

Giordano Finoro got the first shot of the game when he released a bullet from the hash marks that Lucas Brine absorbed into the logo to start off the game.

Ethan Somoza then intercepted Steven Seigo at the blue line and dangled in on net but he hovered on the puck and his delayed shot was batted away by Brine’s blocker.

Tristin Langan brought Christian Purboo into the game at the other end with a quick first time shot from the top of the circle which was gloved down by the Flyers’ netminder.

Jason Fram got the Clan off the mark with a powerplay goal as he slammed a shot from the blue line on a lay off from Brayden Burke and it sailed high into the net to open the scoring.

Fife responded before the end of the period as Garet Hunt battled the puck into the Clan zone and fed a pass to Somoza who knocked a shot on net which Brine didn’t get all of and it crawled over the line through his pads.

In the second period, Richard Jarusek was denied on a close-range snap as he first timed a shot from just outside the crease which Purboo shouldered away.

Darien Kielb reinstated Glasgow’s lead later in the period as Austin Mitchell-King found him at the backdoor for the #4 to rifle a shot past Purboo shortly before Tristin Langan picked up the puck at the edge of the crease and slapped home a third.

Brett Neumann then bagged a fourth for the Clan as he picked up the puck with his back to goal at the hash marks and turned to sling a powerful shot over Purboo to give the visitors an advantage of three.

Jarusek then made it five in the third period as he tipped Rob Lachowicz’s shot from just in front to redirect it into the Fife net before Johan Porsberger got a second for the Flyers late in the game.

Porsberger’s goal was little matter though as he heard the final buzzer from the penalty box after taking a minor for tripping with 44 seconds left in the game as Glasgow left the Kingdom with two points in a 5-2 road win.
