The Premier Sports sponsored Glasgow Clan carried over their fine form from last night with another victory and another four-point weekend thanks to a four-goal dismantling of the Dundee Stars.

The Clan held an early stronghold on the game with the puck not leaving the Stars’ zone in the opening two minutes and Colton Poolman and Daniel Tedesco rifling off shots on Jarrett Fiske’s net.

Jackson Desouza forced a catcher save out of Sami Aittokallio at the other end in Dundee’s first attack of the game but it was Glasgow who broke the deadlock with Tristin Langan sweeping a loose puck over the line at the back door.

Aittokallio then had to blocker away a long-range drive from Stars’ captain Drydn Dow before putting his stick on the line to deny a first time effort from Keanu Yamamoto.

The Clan had to kill off a penalty on Langan to start the second period and did so with Joe Hazeldine cracking a shot from the blue line which rolled over the cheater of Fiske’s catcher glove and narrowly stayed out via the post.

Tedesco opened his Clan account shortly after as Langan played a great stretch pass to allow the #26 in on a breakaway and he dispatched a composed shot through the five hole of Fiske to double the visitors lead in only his second appearance in purple.

Jason Fram then made it three with a great shot through traffic which sailed into the top shelf before Spencer Naas responded for Dundee with a breakaway and five hole finish of his own to bring the scoreline to 3-1 going into the third period.

An early powerplay for the Stars in the third period saw Matt Berry poke a first time shot from just in front into the pads of Aittokallio before the Finn had to react quick to deny Desouza on a spinning backhand attempt.

Steven Seigo flattened Bradley Schoonbaert on a two-on-one but the puck rolled to Otto Nieminen who sent a shot just north of the bar deep into the final frame.

Rob Lachowicz finished off the night with an empty net goal to seal back-to-back four-point weekends over Scottish opposotion for the Glasgow Clan and a 4-1 win on the night in Dundee.
