Clantastic Christmas A Hit On The Airwaves

THE Glasgow Clan’s Christmas single has been picking up airplay on both national and local radio,

Clantastic Christmas has been broadcast along with interviews with the track’s lead vocalist – the Clan’s very own commercial director, Gerry McLaughlin – on Heart Radio, Lomond Radio, Sunny G Radio, Quality Radio and it has also been played on Celtic Music Radio.

In the first two days after its release Clantastic Christmas made it into the iTunes charts at number 65 – thanks to the Purple Army downloading the track.

The song, along with a B-side second track called The Club Mix – which has Christmas messages from the players to the Clan’s Purple Army fans – is still available to purchase on all the usual download and streaming platforms.

Money raised from the sale of the two tracks is being donated to The Renfrewshire Toybank, which provides thousands of Christmas gifts every year to disadvantaged children and young people up to the age 18.

Gerry McLaughlin:

The support we’ve had for our first charity Christmas record has been phenomenal and we can’t thank everyone enough for downloading and streaming the song.

We’ve also had a fantastic reaction from presenters on various radio stations who all say they love the song and I’ve really enjoyed being interviewed to promote not just the song, but Renfrewshire Toybank and The Glasgow Clan in general.

I also had a great time in the recording studio doing the lead vocals and it certainly beats having a go at the karaoke on nights out!
