Clan Take Two Points In Weekend Challenge Cup Battle

October 28, 2025

The Glasgow Clan earned two of a possible four points in a crucial Challenge Cup weekend, keeping the race for qualification alive.

Friday night saw the Clan deliver a dominant 5–1 win over the Fife Flyers at Braehead Arena. It was a strong offensive display, with Rylan Schwartz and Tristin Langan both collecting three points, while Brett Neuman added two. Steven Seigo, Jason Fram and Richard Jarusek also made their mark on the scoresheet.

In net, Sami Aittokallio was flawless during his 40-minute stint, recording a perfect 100% save percentage before Lucas Brine stepped in to close out the final period.

Saturday’s road game against the Belfast Giants saw the Clan shut out 3–0, with goals from JJ Piccinich (PPG) and Ryan Smith (2G, including an empty netter) securing the win for the home side.

The weekend’s results mean the Clan sit firmly in contention to advance, but with work still to do. The team will travel to Fife on Saturday 1 November before returning home to Braehead Arena on Sunday 2 November to face the Dundee Stars.

If the Clan are to progress, they’ll need to collect all four available points this weekend to reach the elimination game position, before their final Challenge Cup clash against Dundee on Saturday 8 November, where first place could be on the line.
