CHALLENGE CUP: Clan qualify for The Elimination Game
CLAN QUALIFY FOR THE ELIMINATION GAME
Following Belfast’s defeat of Dundee on Sunday, the result confirmed the Clan’s 2nd place finish in Challenge Cup Group B and qualification for The Elimination Game.
The Runners-Up in Group B face the 3rd placed team in Group A in a special Elimination Game to decide the final place in the Semi-Finals. This will be a one-off game, played at the home arena of the team with the higher points percentage from the Group stage.
INCREASING OUR POINTS PERCENTAGE
The Clan’s current point percentage is 61%, while in the other group Nottingham are currently at 72%, Cardiff are currently at 56%, Manchester are currently at 50% and Coventry at 57%.
So while we’re guaranteed to play in The Elimination Game, IT’S ALL STILL TO PLAY FOR as we look to cement home game advantage with the focus of making the Challenge Cup semi-finals.
WHEN WILL THE ELIMINATION GAME TAKE PLACE?
Until all games are completed in both Challenge Cup Group A & Group B, we won’t know who we will be playing in The Elimination Game or when that game will take place. As soon as we have an update on this we’ll update accordingly on ClanIHC.com and Clan socials.
