Clangus Kid’s Club Members Invited to Take Over Game Night at Braehead Arena
Glasgow Clan are giving 10 young supporters the opportunity to step behind the scenes and take on some of the most important jobs at Braehead Arena as part of the Clangus Kid’s Club Takeover on Wednesday 14 October against the Dundee Stars.
From helping to announce the action to joining the coaching staff on the bench, this special event will give Clangus Kid’s Club members the chance to experience what goes into running a professional ice hockey game night.
Applications are exclusively open to Clangus Kid’s Club members.
Five Game Night Roles Up for Grabs
Ten lucky children will be selected to take on roles across five different areas of the game night experience.
Game Night Announcer
Join Clan announcer Ali behind the microphone! Our young announcer will assist with pre-game announcements, Chuck-a-Puck and the Player of the Game presentation.
DJ
Take control of the game night soundtrack! Our young DJ will help choose the warm-up playlist and join the arena DJ during the pre-game build-up.
Head Coach
Ever dreamed of stepping into the coach’s shoes? Our young Head Coach will enter the dressing room to announce the starting six before watching the team warm up from the Clan bench.
Security
Help welcome the Purple Army to Braehead Arena! Our junior security team will assist arena staff with ticket scanning and bag checks.
Hospitality Host
Get involved in welcoming guests to the arena! Our junior hospitality hosts will greet supporters and help the team with 50/50 ticket sales.
All roles will be carried out under the supervision of the relevant Clan and arena staff.
How to Enter
All Clangus Kid’s Club members will receive an email containing a link to the official application form.
Members will be asked to select from the five available roles, giving them the opportunity to tell us which game night jobs they would most like to experience.
Applications will close at 10am on Saturday 10 October.
Ten successful applicants will be selected at random and contacted by email with confirmation of their allocated role and further instructions.
Please note: You must be a Clangus Kid’s Club member to enter.
A Special Experience for Every Applicant
Even if you’re not selected for one of the 10 game night roles, there’s still something special in store!
Every unsuccessful applicant will receive Fist Bump Zone tickets for themselves and upto 2 accompanying adults, giving them the chance to cheer on the Clan as the players head out onto the ice.
Jersey Design Competition Presentation
The Kids Takeover will also feature a special on-ice presentation for the six finalists from our Clangus Kid’s Club jersey design competition.
Our winning designer, Anna, whose Highland Cow design will be worn by the Clan during warm-ups, will join fellow finalists Eilidh, Joshua, Hollie, Lexi and Bradley to receive their very own jerseys.
It’s set to be a fantastic celebration of the youngest members of the Purple Army.
