Glasgow Clan Confirm Three Two-Way Player Signings

Glasgow Clan are pleased to announce two-way agreements with three young British players: 21-year-old defenceman Billy Thorpe, 19-year-old forward Torran Anderson and 18-year-old goaltender Caiden MacColl.

Thorpe joins from the Peterborough Phantoms, Anderson represents Solway Ice Hockey Club, and MacColl joins from the Paisley Pirates.

A two-way agreement gives players the opportunity to continue playing competitive hockey with their current club while developing within the Clan setup. Players can be called up to the Clan’s game-day roster when required, giving them the opportunity to gain experience at Motorpoint Elite League level.

The arrangement provides a pathway for players to develop in a professional environment while continuing to gain regular competitive experience with their current club.

Billy Thorpe

The 21-year-old defenceman joins the Clan from the Peterborough Phantoms on a two-way agreement.

Billy will continue playing competitive hockey with the Phantoms while remaining eligible for a call-up to the Clan, giving him the opportunity to gain experience at EIHL level and continue developing his game.

Torran Anderson

The Clan have also agreed a two-way arrangement with 19-year-old forward Torran Anderson, who plays for Solway Ice Hockey Club.

Torran is entering his second season within the Clan setup and has trained with the club throughout the week over the past two seasons. It has been great to see his progression, and the club looks forward to supporting his continued development.

As part of his two-way agreement, Torran will continue playing competitive hockey with Solway while remaining eligible for a call-up to the Clan.

Caiden MacColl

The third addition is 18-year-old goaltender Caiden MacColl, who joins the development pathway from the Paisley Pirates on a two-way agreement.

Caiden will continue playing competitive hockey with the Pirates while being eligible for a call-up to the Clan. This provides him with the opportunity to gain experience at a higher level and continue developing his skills as a goaltender.

Supporting the Development of Young British Players

The Clan remain committed to improving the development pathway for young British players and creating opportunities for them to progress within the sport.

By allowing emerging talent to train with the professional squad while continuing to play competitive hockey with their current clubs, these agreements provide players with valuable experience, coaching and exposure to the demands of the EIHL.

The club looks forward to supporting Billy, Torran and Caiden as they continue their development with the Clan.
