Bounce-Back Win Fuels Big Week Ahead
The Glasgow Clan endured a mixed weekend in Elite League action, with a home defeat followed by a strong bounce-back performance on the road to secure two valuable points.
Friday 23 January – Coventry Blaze (H)
The Blaze wasted no time in Braehead Arena, opening the scoring just eight seconds into the game. Coventry continued to apply pressure, but the Clan responded in the second period through goals from Alex Forbes and Brett Neumann to bring the game back within reach.
Despite the pushback, the Blaze found another gear and pulled away to secure a 5–2 victory, leaving the Clan frustrated after a competitive but ultimately disappointing night on home ice.
Sunday 25 January – Dundee Stars (A)
The Clan responded in style at the Dundee Ice Arena. The Stars opened the scoring two minutes into the first period through Schoonbaert, but just 41 seconds later Alex Forbes netted his second goal of the weekend to level the game.
From that point on, the Clan grew in confidence and control. Captain Deven Sideroff led by example, with further goals from Joe Hazeldine, Hugo Roy, Brady Risk and Robert Lachowicz sealing an emphatic road win before the final buzzer.
Overview
It was a weekend of highs and lows for the Clan. While taking two points on the road is vital at this stage of the season, consistency remains key as the team looks to prevent the gap widening between themselves and rivals Guildford Flames, Coventry Blaze and Manchester Storm. Sunday’s performance, however, showed exactly what this group is capable of.

Wednesday 28 January – Nottingham Panthers (H)
The Nottingham Panthers return to Braehead Arena for the first time since ending the Clan’s Challenge Cup campaign. This time in Elite League action, the Clan will be determined to make a statement and respond after some tough results against top-table opposition.
Friday 30 January – Guildford Flames (H)
It’s the third meeting with the Guildford Flames this season and their second visit to Braehead. Often regarded as a bogey team for the Clan, this matchup carries extra significance as a crucial four-point game.
This fixture also marks Pride Night, with special edition jerseys available via the merch stand, Full Team Shirt off the Back, and a post-game auction.
Sunday 1 February – Belfast Giants (A)
The Clan travel back to the SSE Arena for their fourth Elite League meeting with the Belfast Giants this season. After three previous defeats, the challenge is clear as the team looks to raise their compete level and fight for points against the league leaders.
