Clan Add Proven EIHL Scorer Daniel Tedesco
The Glasgow Clan are pleased to announce the signing of Italian-Canadian forward Daniel Tedesco, who joins the club ahead of the weekend’s fixtures.
The 6ft 1in, 32-year-old arrives in Glasgow from the Bloomington Bison of the ECHL, where he recorded 11 points in 19 games this season. Tedesco brings with him a wealth of experience and a proven scoring touch at EIHL level.
No stranger to UK hockey, Tedesco previously spent two seasons with the Guildford Flames and one season with the Belfast Giants, amassing an impressive 195 points in 193 EIHL games. His consistency and offensive production have seen him establish himself as one of the league’s most reliable forwards in recent years.
Speaking on his return to the EIHL, Tedesco said:
“I’m excited to get back to the UK. I’d always heard great things about the Clan and especially the fans. Excited to get onto the ice and help get the team get back to winning.”
In addition to his club career, Tedesco has earned 28 international caps for the Italian National Team, including appearances at the European Cup of Nations in November, adding valuable international experience to the Clan roster.
Head Coach Corey Neilson welcomed the addition, saying:
“Daniel is a proven top scorer in the EIHL having finished second in league points and third in league goals only a few years ago. It’s not a secret that we’ve struggled in this stretch of games to create and capitalise on our chances. Daniel will provide offensive support and necessary competition for our current players to earn their minutes and offensive opportunities.”
Tedesco will wear jersey number 26, and it is hoped he will be able to join the team on the ice this weekend.
Welcome to Glasgow, Daniel.
