Clan Sign Olympic Defenceman Jason Fram

The Glasgow Clan are pleased to announce the signing of Canadian/Chinese defenceman Jason Fram for the 2025/26 season.
Fram arrives in Glasgow with an outstanding pedigree and a wealth of international experience. A decorated player at university level, he is a two-time USports All-Canadian First Team member, two-time USports Defenceman of the Year, a USports University Cup Champion, and was also named to the WHL (West) Second All-Star Team during his junior career.
On the world stage, Fram represented Team China at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games, before spending five seasons in the KHL with Kunlun Red Star – competing in what is widely regarded as the second-best league in the world. Most recently, he played in the ICE Hockey League with Italian side Asiago Hockey 1935.
Speaking about the move to Glasgow, Fram said:
I’m excited to get to Glasgow, I’ve heard great things about the city and the league. Corey was clear about the direction of the club which was a big part of my decision and I’m looking forward to being part of it. See you soon!
Head Coach Corey Neilson is equally pleased to have secured his signature:
Jason is primarily an offensive defenceman but had to turn into more of a two-way guy during his five-year stint in the KHL. After a lengthy conversation with him I was determined to get his contract signed. He will make us a better team in many ways.
Fram will wear #58 for the Clan and is expected to join up with the team ahead of the second set of pre-season friendlies against Spartiates de Marseille.
Welcome to the Clan, Jason.
