TEAM: Clan Build Momentum with Strong Core of 2025/26 Signings
With the 2025/26 season on the horizon, the Glasgow Clan have already made exciting signings, assembling a mix of returning favourites and new faces in Purple. Here’s a look at the 13 players signed so far, covering all areas of the ice:
FORWARDS
#95 Deven Sideroff
A familiar face to the Purple Army, Captain Sideroff returns after a stellar 2024/25 campaign where he was a key offensive threat. The Canadian forward will once again bring speed, skill, and leadership to the Clan’s top lines.
#71 Rylan Schwartz
The experienced forward is back for another season in Glasgow. A proven playmaker with high hockey IQ, Schwartz adds skill and consistency to the forward group.
#13 Mitch Heard
A power forward with an edge, Heard re-joins the Clan and is known for his aggressive forechecking, two-way play, and physical presence up front.
#94 Cade Neilson
An exciting young British-Canadian forward, Neilson spent the first half of last season in the ECHL before finding his stride with the Glasgow Clan. Now settled and confident, he’s ready to build on that momentum and help lead the charge as the team look to compete for silverware.
#57 Alex Forbes
A fan favourite, Forbes enters his third season with the Clan. A dependable grinder and trusted penalty killer, Forbes brings grit, determination, and physicality.
#41 Brayden Burke
New to Glasgow, Burke is a talented Canadian forward who most recently played in the German DEL. Known for his offensive instincts and ability to make plays under pressure, he’ll be one to watch this season.
#19 Hugo Roy
The Canadian centreman joins from the Nottingham Panthers, where he tallied 36 goals and 33 assists across two EIHL seasons. Roy also helped Nottingham lift the 2024/25 playoff title, contributing two goals during the run.
#11 Austin Mitchell-King
A young British forward who made his name in NIHL, Mitchell-King brings depth to the lineup and will be looking to take the step up and develop his game in Glasgow.
DEFENCEMEN
#49 Steven Seigo
Back in Purple for a second season, Seigo is a composed defenceman with excellent vision and puck-moving ability. A leader at the back, his experience and calmness under pressure are key assets.
#55 Chris McKay
The stay-at-home blueliner returns to bring a physical edge to the Clan defence. McKay is a strong presence in front of goal and is never shy to step in when things get physical.
#73 Joseph Hazeldine
The young Brit re-signs for 2025/26 after a solid season of development. Hazeldine offers mobility and strong positional play and continues to grow into a dependable option on the back end.
GOALTENDERS
#74 Sami Aittokallio
An exciting new addition, Aittokallio brings a wealth of experience from the NHL, AHL, Liiga, DEL, and Tipos Extraliga. Fresh off an impressive playoff run with HK Nitra in the Slovak Extraliga, the Finnish netminder arrives in Glasgow with momentum and experience, and is expected to be a cornerstone of the Clan’s goaltending unit this season.
#44 Lucas Brine
The promising British goalie returns for another season after showing great potential in his appearances last year. Brine adds depth to the goaltending group and is developing quickly under the Clan setup.
BUILDING THE 2025/26 CLAN
With a solid blend of returning players and exciting new additions, Head Coach Corey Neilson is building a balanced roster capable of competing across the league.
