SIGNING: Forbes returns for a 3rd Season

The Glasgow Clan are pleased to confirm that forward Alex Forbes will return for the 2025/26 season, marking his third consecutive year with the club.

The 28-year-old, who will once again wear #57, has become a familiar and dependable presence on the ice in Glasgow. Known for his relentless work ethic and physical style of play, Forbes has earned a strong reputation among the Purple Army as a hard-working player and a fan favourite.

Head Coach Corey Neilson spoke highly of Forbes’ continued growth and importance to the team:

“Alex has been a great soldier for the club over the years and I really liked his attitude last season. He is still committed to improving, which is a great quality in a player. I really liked his physical intensity last year and when he learned the system details, he became a trusted penalty killer for the team.”

Forbes’ impact was particularly felt during the 2024/25 campaign, where he became a reliable option on the penalty kill and consistently brought energy and toughness to the ice.

Forbes also shared his excitement about returning for another season in Glasgow:

“I’m really excited to be back with the Clan for another season. The last two years have been great, and I felt like we really started to find our stride last season. This upcoming year is shaping up to be even better. I can’t wait to get started!”
