SIGNING: Captain Sid return confirmed

April 9, 2025

The Glasgow Clan are delighted to announce the extension of captain Deven Sideroff’s contract into a second season.

The 27-year-old has signed on the dotted line for two more years and is the first name confirmed on the roster for 2025/26.

Sideroff, who joined the Clan from Czechia side Rytiri Kladno last summer says it’s been a season of positives for him after his first year in Glasgow.

“I’ve enjoyed being at the Clan this season and seeing that this is an organisation that wants to win with a plan to be a championship club,” he said.

“I’ve been excited to lead the team this season and I’ve been impressed with so many things from my time in Glasgow so far.

“The fans have been amazing from day one, and my team-mates have been great to play with.

It’s just the start and I’m excited to be returning to see how far we can go in 2025/26 and to be a part of what I hope can be something special.”

Sideroff has played 61 times in Clan purple and has been a regular name on the scoresheet, with 33 goals and 31 assists for 64 points in all competitions.

He’s a popular player both on and off the ice and his return will be welcomed by the Purple Army as they start to look ahead to next season.

Head coach Corey Neilson was especially pleased to have his captain back on board as he gets to work on the roster.

“Bringing Deven back was an easy decision to make,” he said. “His influence and leadership has been huge all season so it made sense to have him for next season.

“He has led by example so many times, including in scoring where his record is there for all to see, plus the guys respect him and the way he carries himself.

“I think the team’s captain should play the style the coach wants the team to play, and Sid does that.  He’s fast, skilled and ultra-competitive.

“We’re delighted to have Deven back for the new season, when it comes and I’ve no doubt he will continue to play a big role in this team.”

Sideroff will continue to wear the #95 jersey in the next campaign.
