STATEMENT: Clan vs Guildford postponement

The Glasgow Clan regret to confirm that Sunday’s EIHL home game vs the Guildford Flames had to be postponed following the 1st period due serious issues with the ice.

We would like to apologise to all fans in attendance and those watching the webcast, and reassure everyone that all avenues were explored to finish the game in a safe manner.

After careful consideration and consultation with the league, game officials, players, coaches and club management, the decision was made to postpone with the welfare of the Glasgow and Guildford players, staff and supporters as our top priority.

We appreciate this is very disappointing and frustrating, we would like to thank everyone for their understanding and support in what was a very difficult and fast developing situation.

WHAT HAPPENS TO THE GAME NOW?

As per the EIHL rule book, as the game was postponed following the 1st period, the game will be replayed in full at Braehead Arena on a future date. We will be liaising with the league and Flames organisation in due course to organise a new date. As soon as we are in a position to make an announcement on the new date, we will do this in conjunction with the league and the Flames.

I’M A 2024/25 SEASON TICKET HOLDER, WHAT HAPPENS NOW?

For Clan 2024/25 Season Ticket Holders, your ticket will obviously be valid for the rescheduled game.

I BOUGHT GAME NIGHT TICKETS, WHAT HAPPENS NOW?

For those fans that have purchased tickets for the game, your tickets will automatically be valid for the rescheduled game. If you are unable to attend the rescheduled date once it is announced, please email [email protected] and we’ll be able to assist with refunds. We appreciate many fans will be emailing the club over the coming days regarding the postponement, we are sure you can appreciate that we will likely be inundated and kindly request you to bear with us as we process emails.

For Clan 2024/25 Season Ticket Holders that took advantage of our Bring a Buddy offer, Bring a Buddy tickets will automatically be valid for the rescheduled game.
