GAME DAY: What to expect THIS SATURDAY at Braehead Arena

November 16, 2024

Saturday night at the hockey is what it’s all about as Nottingham Panthers come to Braehead Arena to battle the Clan for Elite League points.

These games are always worth watching and after a closely fought contest in their previous meeting last month, another one could be on the cards.

Off the ice, on the other hand, is set to be something special as we host our first charity game and it’s for a cause very close to us.  Read all about it below.

In the meantime, tickets for the game remain available so get them now from the Clan websiteFace off is at 7:00pm, with doors opening at 5:30pm.

Alternatively, if you can’t be here, purchase our webcast, bringing you all the action from the game, priced at £15 by heading over to ClanIHC.tv.

Danny and the Panthers are here

Danny Stewart brings his Nottingham Panthers team to Glasgow for the second of their three league meetings in Braehead Arena and keen to take the points home.

Clan edged a three-goal thriller last month, winning 2-1 and with both teams having won two of their last five, it could go either way, if the formbook is to be believed.

Add in the subplots of Clan coach Corey Neilson going up against his old team and playing quartet, Messrs Lachowicz, Deprés, Paré and Hazeldine also having donned Panthers colours, it makes for an interesting night ahead.

The Glasgow Clan Ice Futures Charity

It’s our first charity night of the year and for the first time ever, we’re partnering with the Glasgow Clan Ice Futures Charity tonight.

The team will be wearing special edition jerseys plus there will be bucket collections by the Clan Academy around the Arena foyer prior to the game and during the intervals.

You can also find donation points for any unused kids hockey equipment that fans may be willing to bring and hand over to the Clan Academy.

Special Guest Puck Droppers

We’re delighted to welcome Two Doors Down star Grado and River City actor Stephen Purdon to Braehead Arena to perform the ceremonial puck drop prior to the game tonight.

Both are starring in panto from the end of the month, “Beauty and the Beastie” at Glasgow’s Pavilion Theatre, running from Thursday 28th November until Sunday 12th January.  Oh, yes they are!
