NEWS: Vinnell warns against Clan identity crisis

Aspray Glasgow West sponsored Glasgow Clan defenceman Zach Vinnell says the team have to stick to who they are as they prepare to take on Fife Flyers this weekend.
The two Scottish teams will meet each other in a Challenge Cup double header, starting at Braehead Arena on Saturday (face off 7:00pm).
And Vinnell says winning those early competitive games can help keep the morale up after taking victory in Belfast against the Giants on Saturday.
“The guys are excited for the weekend to get the regular season started,” he said. “We’re up against Fife and any team in this league is good.
“We’ll have to bring it and if we play our game, then I think we’ll be fine. All the guys are pretty excited and winning those early games are important to keep morale high.
“It’s all about getting everyone in the right mindset and the right mood for the season and playing Belfast and winning there was good for us.
“We obviously expect more and while I realise it’s pre-season, once the regular season comes along, we’ll look to build off that.
“As long as we stick to our identity and not try to become a team that we’re not, then we’ll do okay.
“But we’re looking forward to weekend and putting some wins together.”
