NEWS: Dixon – Every point is up for grabs

November 11, 2022

Aspray Glasgow West sponsored Glasgow Clan interim head coach Stephen Dixon says getting points is his team’s priority ahead of the weekend.

Clan host Fife Flyers at Braehead Arena on Friday (face off 7.30pm) with both sides taking up the bottom two spots in the Viaplay Elite League.

And Dixon, while happy with his player’s efforts, admits there are areas of improvement that he hopes will show this weekend.

“It’s always a good atmosphere when we play Fife and the guys are definitely looking forward to this one,” he said.

“We’ve had a good week of practice where we’ve got to work on a lot of things and not having a midweek game helps with that.

“The effort from the guys has been great and they’re battling hard.  We just need to get our execution back and work on some of the little things as well.

“The position we’re in, every point is up for grabs and our aim is to work our way up the standings. Every game is important and getting the points on the board is our priority.

“The fans have been great for us all year and a rivalry game at home, they can bring a lot of energy and I look forward to them bringing that on Friday.”
