Glasgow’s Braehead Clan forward Cameron Burt is pleased to be back home as the club return following five weeks on the road.

The Clan return after Disney On Ice’s residency at the arena and massive rivals Fife Flyers will be coming to welcome them home in Elite League action

Burt has already tasted the rivalry between the clubs in the recent Scottish Elite Cup weekend in Edinburgh and he’s looking forward to doing so again.

“Coming in, we knew about the rivalry between Braehead and Fife and you love to play in those games, knowing the fans will be right there with you,” he said.

“Being back on home ice will be awesome. It’s been tough playing six straight games or so away from home, but that’s life in hockey.

“Plus it’s time for us to show up and really give them something to cheer. We’re playing a rivalry game and we will be more than up for it.

“The game a couple of weeks ago in Edinburgh was pretty eventful and I didn’t think that game was going to end, given what was going on.

“You could see the passion of both teams that night and that experience has helped us understand it’s going to be an intense game.

“It was great to see everyone stand up for each other as well. We may not be the tallest of teams, but seeing that was encouraging.”

Saturday’s game with the Flyers, face off at 7pm, is now a sell out, but tickets are available for remaining games throughout October.
