THE WEEK AHEAD: Double challenge ahead for Clan

Glasgow Clan, sponsored Aspray Glasgow West have had a busy few days so a much more serene seven days awaits them.
We’re back to a Saturday and Sunday routine this week with one road game and one game at home as the guys take a couple of days to get their collective breath back.
In case you’ve missed anything, here’s what’s happened over the last few days:
- Mathieu Roy wins Premier Sports Elite League Player of the Month award
- Clan suffer Friday fall to Panthers
- Five-star Clan extinguish Blaze
- Giants claim points as Clan long weekend ends
SATURDAY: DUNDEE STARS vs GLASGOW CLAN (7pm)
Clan are on the road again this Saturday, but it’s a relatively short journey when they head to Tayside to face Dundee Stars for the first time this season.
Both teams are currently outside the play-off places and come in on the back of defeats, to which they’ll want to turn around.
Stars were Clan’s last opponents before the Covid pandemic but have endured an indifferent start to the season.
The return of Glasgow will be a tasty one for the Stars’ faithful who saw their picked up three wins before losing to Sheffield Steelers on Sunday. However, they are feeling better about things and will fancy this one.
It’s one to look forward to and tickets can be bought at this link.
Alternatively, Dundee Stars offer a webcast, for which details and payment information can be found on Dundee Stars TV.
SUNDAY: GLASGOW CLAN vs GUILDFORD FLAMES (4pm)
The return home on Sunday is a tough one as high-flying Guildford Flames come to Glasgow looking for some Premier Sports Elite League points.
Sadly for Clan, Flames are not a team they’ve done well against in recent history so will do well to get the win against a notoriously difficult side.
After the frantic run of games, Malcolm Cameron’s men will enjoy a less hectic week and should be in better shape and much refreshed.
It promises to be a fun Sunday afternoon and Clan continue to catch up with the rest of their rivals so don’t miss out on a potentially highly competitive encounter.
