NEWS: Roy crowned Player of the Month

Aspray Glasgow West sponsored Glasgow Clan forward Mathieu Roy has been named the Premier Sports Elite League’s Player of the Month for November.

The 35-year-old has enjoyed a great start to the campaign for the Clan, scoring five goals and six assists in the club’s six games so far.

The poll, hosted on Twitter and made by fans, saw over 2,700 votes, with Roy coming top with just under 39%, a clear 15% more than nearest challenger Justin Crandall of Cardiff Devils.

Fife Flyers’ Mike McNicholas and Jordan Cownie of Guildford Flames were also nominated on the poll.

Roy will be part of the Clan team tonight that takes on Nottingham Panthers in a Premier Sports Elite League clash, face off 7.30pm. Tickets are available on ClanIHC.com now.
