THE WEEK AHEAD: Panthers and Steelers coming up

January 31, 2022

It’s all about bouncing back for Glasgow Clan, sponsored Aspray Glasgow West, this week with two tough games on the horizon for Malcolm Cameron’s side.

After an overtime loss and a disappointing defeat on the road, it’s time to draw a line under those and look ahead where, as always, there’s more points up for grabs.

Before we do, catch yourself up with anything you might have missed over the last few days.

SATURDAY: NOTTINGHAM PANTHERS vs GLASGOW CLAN (7pm)

Clan return to the Motorpoint Arena on Saturday, hoping for a third victory there in three visits when they come up against Nottingham Panthers again.

It’s a bizarre trait to see the away team win in all four games in this fixture and Malcolm Cameron and his team will be looking to bounce back from the disappointment of defeats at the weekend.

They can win in Nottingham and after the Panthers snapped a five-game losing run, will look to get the home fans on side with another victory against a Scottish team, after beating Dundee Stars 5-2.

It will be a busy and a noisy night, so any fans wishing to attend should read and understand the Covid measures in place at the Motorpoint Arena.

Fans not attending won’t be able to watch the game on the Panthers TV webcast on Saturday as it will be broadcast live on Premier Sports 1, from 6.30pm.

SUNDAY: GLASGOW CLAN vs SHEFFIELD STEELERS (4pm)

League leaders Sheffield Steelers make their first trip to Glasgow of the season on Sunday and if this latest meeting of the teams will been anything like the previous two in Sheffield, fans will be in for a treat.

Both games have gone to overtime and while Aaron Fox’s men have edged it in the extra period, Clan will be hopeful of turning that around in Braehead Arena.

Another trip north of the border – their fourth in three weeks – awaits the Sheffield faithful and after wins in Fife and a loss in Dundee, how will they fare in the west against the Clan?

It’s shaping up to be a great Sunday of action and tickets are available now on the Clan website. and please remember to read and understand the Covid guidelines when visiting Braehead Arena.

Alternatively, there will be a webcast of the game as well, priced at £15 and streams can be purchased from Clan TV.
