The Glasgow Clan are delighted to announce that exciting young British forward #20 Mac Howlett will return to the roster for a second year during the upcoming 2019/20 season.
The 19-year-old centreman from Woking joined the Clan at the beginning of last year from the youth team of Finnish Liiga contenders SaiPa and recorded 5 points in 57 EIHL matches, finishing the season with a -4 playing mostly on the fourth line.
Mac also featured heavily in Slava Koulikov’s GB under 20’s squad this season and was a point-per-game in 5 matches during their World Championships (Division 2A) campaign in Estonia.
Clan Head Coach Zack Fitzgerald is delighted to secure the signature of the young British talent:
“It’s great to have Mac back on the roster.” confirmed Fitzgerald.
“He is a young kid with a natural ability that we hope to improve on with additional league experience this year.
“He has some great homegrown leaders in the room to look up to.
“He is hungry to learn and I look forward to working with him closer.”
Mac will wear #20 during the upcoming season.
Mac becomes the Clan’s eighteenth player for 2019/20, following confirmation that Patrick Killeen, Matt Pufahl, Matt Beca, Rasmus Bjerrum, Jack Musil, Craig Peacock, Scott Pitt, Scott Tanski, Craig Moore, Linden Springer, Jordan Heywood, Jordan McLaughlin, Mikael Lidhammar, Nolan LaPorte, Mathieu Roy, Gary Russell and Matt Stanisz having already put pen to paper.
