The Glasgow Clan are delighted to announce the signing of Canadian forward Josh Gratton for the 2018/19 season.

The 35-year-old joins the Clan with an impressive career which has seen him play 86 games in the NHL, 280 games in the AHL and 81 games in the KHL.

“I am delighted to add veteran power forward Josh Gratton to our roster for the upcoming season” confirmed Clan head coach Pete Russell.

“Josh has had a career in some of the best leagues in the world and he brings a wealth of experience, leadership and of course toughness.

“Josh is a up and down hard nosed player, honest and has a heavy shot. Add this onto the fact that he is a legitimate tough guy, this signing really adds a total different dimension to our line-up.

“On top of that he is a strong character and well respected in the locker room.

“Josh along with Fitzy’s (Zack Fitzgerald) presence should make every guy on our roster play a lot bigger.

“With this addition to the group, our team has not only got tougher but it’s also offensively deeper too. Our goal is to make Braehead Arena a very tough place for our opponents to come and take points from!”

Gratton becomes the nineteenth player to join the Clan for 2018/19 following the signings of Zack Fitzgerald, Brendan Connolly, Scott Pitt, Matt Beca, Matt Stanisz, Michal Gutwald, Liam Heelis, Tyson Wilson, Gerard Hanson, Joel Rumpel, Scott Tanski, Rasmus Bjerrum, Jack Musil, Craig Peacock, Matt Haywood, Zach Sullivan, Mac Howlett and Gary Russell.
