Glasgow’s Braehead Clan head coach John Tripp is happy with how recruitment is progressing ahead of the 2017/18 season.

Talking from his home in Kingston, Ontario, Tripp wanted to reassure Clan supporters that there is plenty going on behind the scenes.

“When I first started talking to the Clan about the role, I knew exactly what sort team I wanted and the club fully supported me in what I wanted” said the Canadian.

“I appreciate recruitment is slow at the moment, however I can assure everyone that there is plenty going on behind the scenes.

“Myself and Gareth are in contact every single day assessing our situation and I am excited with what we have coming together.

“It’s taking time getting the players we want, we are being very thorough with our research and making sure we get the right characters on and off the ice for this organisation.

“We have a number of offers out currently and are looking to finalise deals over the coming days. I am looking forward to getting the season started now.”
