Glasgow’s Braehead Clan defenceman Cody Carlson has undergone an operation on his broken nose this week, with head coach Ryan Finnerty hoping for an end to his injury woes.

Carlson, 25, has been playing with a broken nose and wearing a cage for the past few weeks, while awaiting his operation.

“Cody’s operation went well, without any issues and the club’s medical staff are accessing him on a day to day basis” confirmed Finnerty.

“Ideally it would be nice to have him in the line-up for Friday’s game against Manchester, however there is no pressure on him and we’ll be keeping an eye on the situation.

“We’ve still got Craig Peacock (upper body injury) and Jay Rosehill (broken foot) out of the line-up with their injuries, so we’re hoping for some light at the end of the tunnel soon.”

The Clan are still up against it! Join the fight Purple Army, help us defeat the Manchester Storm THIS FRIDAY (7:30pm face-off).
