Glasgow’s Braehead Clan forward Corey Cowick returns to the ice tonight following a four game suspension, but head coach Ryan Finnerty has been hit by further injury woes ahead of tonights game v the Cardiff Devils.

Following last night’s overtime loss on the road to the Nottingham Panthers, it looks highly likely that Canadian forward Jay Rosehill will be out of action as the league leaders visit Braehead.

With the Clan already missing Harry Quast (injury), Craig Peacock (injury), Matt Haywood (personal issues), Lee Esders (unavailable) and now the addition of Rosehill, Finnerty’s outfit are really up against it.

“It was a tough game last night against a very good Nottingham team, I was very happy to come out of there with a point” said Finnerty.

“The game took it’s toll as we’ve picked up more knocks and it looks like Jay [Rosehill] will be missing from the line-up, which adds to our growing injury list.

“The Purple Army were superb in Nottingham last night and really helped us get over the line. As I said on Saturday, they can be the difference tonight, it’s that old cliché but a loud and vocal building can act as a sixth skater!”

WE NEED YOU THIS SUNDAY PURPLE ARMY. The league leading Cardiff Devils come to Braehead Arena (6:00pm face-off). Tickets are available NOW via TICKETMASTER, by calling 0844 499 1700 or direct at the Braehead Arena box office.
