BLOG: Tricky challenges and forward thinking

Hello Purple Army

I hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.

It’s been a long grind for the Clan over the past couple of weeks staying in Ayr and having to travel to practice in Dumfries and Auchenharvie, but everyone remains upbeat and excited about the months ahead.

We had our first taste of real action in Belfast, and while we fell short 3-2, I saw some real promise and character from our group.

Despite the advantage of weeks of games and practices we fought the Giants tooth and nail through 60 minutes and feel we deserved an opportunity to secure some points in the game.

Our group was looking to rebound this past Sunday in Coventry and some unfortunate circumstances led to the game’s cancellation.

However, we will use this week to get us ready for the many games we have compressed into our schedule starting this Sunday in Nottingham.

The games will be coming fast and many and practice time will be minimal in the weeks ahead.

Our boys are looking forward into settling into home ice next week at Braehead and hearing the Clan army cheering loudly at our first home match.

I look forward to hearing you all.

Malcolm Cameron
